The Queen and The Duchess boarded a train at London’s St Pancras station on their way to Leiscester, looking absolutely fabulous… definitely not how I look every morning when I get on the train!  The two were headed to De Monfort University, where they attended a fashion show.

While this first day of the Jubilee Tour was packed with appearnce, the Duchess choose a reliable British brand to get her through the day!!!

The LK Bennett Davina dress and matching Jude Jacket in dark teal, along witha  simple pill box hat and matching black shoes and clutch.  While I’m not loving the colour, the outfit is professional and elegant…beautiful choice!           Photo courtesy of Alan Davidson/The Picture Library Ltd via The Daily Mail
As described on the LK Bennett website, The Davina dress is beautifully tailored in a luxurious crepe. Elegantly designed, it’s chic, gentle ruching down one side adds to the already feminine silhouette. The asymmetrically cut neckline gives this dress a modern edge, while the capped sleeves are kept simple to ensure understated glamour and chic.

The Jude jacket (was available in dark teal and black… both now sold out!) is Femininity and unexpected detailing is key with the Jude jacket, the other half of the Jude suit set. Beautifully tailored with a nipped waist, this wool jacket features kick-pleat detailing at the back and uses a soft wool feeling luxe to the touch.

While the dress is obviously no longer available in dark teal, there are still some fabulous colours available.  My favourites are the Grey – Steel, Red – Lipstick and  Brown – Camel.  All are still available online is a variety of sizes for £225.00.

The hat worn by Kate has been identified as the Fairy Tale from Lock & Co. (a trusted brand of The Duchess’), retailing for £285.00.  Not loving this hat… sorry!

And the earrings are another trusted peice, Kate’s Kiki McDonough earrings (believed to have been a Christmas gift from William) that we have seen a few times before.

The Queen, Duke and Kate greeted thousands of people during the day before attending a service at Leicester 14th Century Cathedral and then to a lunch reception at St. Martins House, and visited the Clock Tower to receive a gift from the city and performance on a theme of the Holi Festival, entitled ’60 colours’… busy day!!!
