I’m loving this story, what a wonderful thing to do and an amazing story!  Makes me have even more respect and admiration for this woman – didn’t know that was possible!

Kate recently paid a secret thank you visit to The Royal School of Needlework, for all their hard work in creating her wedding dress.

A spokeswoman for the Duchess says “She wanted to personally thank them for their work on the wedding dress. She also wanted to see their work and learn more about what they do there.”

According to The Telegraph approximately 30 of the schools full time and part time staff were present for the visit, and one said “Catherine was keen to express her gratitude in person to the women who worked so hard on her dress. She was very conscious of the pressure that they were under”.

The schools Chief Executive Susan Kay-Williams was there to greet the Duchess and give her a tour of the school.  During the creation of her wedding dress, new needles were used every three hours and workers had to wash their hands every 30 minutes in order to keep the lace perfect.
