The Queen, Duchess of Cornwall and Duchess of Cambridge toured the flagship store in London known for it’s amazing restaurant, fabulous tea and sweets.  The ladies were each given a hamper, and then moved on to learn about specific areas of the store.  The Duchess of Cambridge went to the ground floor to learn more about the teas.

According to The Fortnum and Mason website “To celebrate this important milestone in our nation’s history, we have created a whole new collection of delicious and beautiful gifts, each commissioned specially for the occasion. Decorated with our new Jubilee design, which was inspired by the Queen’s Beasts that stood guard at her Coronation, each gift will be a delightful reminder of this rare and happy event”

With a break from traditional The Duchess choose Italian designer Missoni for this visit.  The coat is said to be from the Fall/Winter 2010 collection for M Missoni and I think is gorgeous – could have been a bit more fitted, but beautiful none the less.

Missoni as a brand is known for it’s vibrant colours and use of fabrics.  The “Missoni”  chevron is known around the world, and incorporated into many of their designs.

While we cannot fully see the dress underneath the Missoni coat, the online consensus is that it is the same blue Zara dress worn the day after her wedding to Prince William, and at the 90th birthday of Prince Philip.

Kate also wore two daffodils in honour of St. Davids Day (St. David is the Patron Saint of Wales, and March 1st has been a public holiday since 2000).

One odd thing with this visit, is Kate carried no clutch!  She did however accessories with her Links of London Hope Egg Earrings (with white topaz) available online for £275.00 and her Rupert Sanderson Malone Grey Heels available online for €425.00.
