What an amazing opportunity.

The Duchess of Cambridge (who is not known for adventurous shoe choices!) will be heading to De Montfort University in Leicester, England with Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip on March 8th.  During her visit, Kate will have the opportunity to launch one lucky designers career!!!  She will judge six sketches by aspiring designers at the school and then choose her favourite.  The shoe will be made exclusively for The Duchess.

Designing a brand new shoe for the most photographed woman on the planet…   AWESOME!!!

Below are the 6 finalist and there designs.  Can’t wait till March 8 when the winner is announced!!!

Mei Chun Lai, 21, from Taiwan has designed a pair of shoes that are inspired by Chinese New Year. This is the year of the Dragon

Becka Hunt, 20, from Peterborough was inspired by The Duchess’ engagement ring and the lace from her wedding dress

Sam Sawkill, 27, also from Leicester has designed an English rose-inspired pair of peep-toe heels

Kay Yeng Cheng, 22, from Hinckley, Leicestershire with her fairytale-inspired heels which she designed with the Duchess in mind

Summer Spencer, 23, from Leicester with her shoes that are inspired by Kate and Prince William’s coat of arms, with tartan reflecting the couple’s time at university in Scotland

Tabatha Duffield, 21 from Maidstone, said: ‘I wanted something feminine and elegant to reflect her personality. There will be laser-cut flowers and fringing round the edges’
This one is my favourite!
