Kate recycled her cream Jacquard coat, in order to keep a lowe profile and make sure all the attention was where it was suppose to be, on the bride!

Kate wore the same coat dress at the wedding of Laura Parker Bowles and Harry Lopes in 2006 (left), and the wedding of Mel Nicholson and Oli Baker at St. Andrews last May (right).

The cream lace dress she wore underneath the jacket was another recycled item. While the dress remains unidentified, Kate wore it out with her sister Pippa to a book signing at Asprey (located on Bond St in London) in 2007.

Before we go on just a quick note to say how amazing it is that Kate is still wearing a dress from 5 years ago!!! Who cares if it’s been worn twice before!  She still fits in it, and it’s still in style!!!

The shoes and clutch were LK Bennett.  Her Sludge2 Pumps and Natalie Clutch are staples in her wardrobe it seems!  And it is with sadness we report they are both still out of stock!

Kate did treat herself to one new item for the wedding…a fabulous hat!
The large cream hat, with accents of flowers towards the side and back, it adds a young freshness to the look.  The designer is still to be confirmed – between Vivien Sheriff or Rachel Trevor Morgan.

Quick note on the earrings, they have been seen before as well.  Still unidentified, Kate wore them to the Canada Day celebrations in Ottawa with her purple Issa dress.

The wedding dress worn by Zara was made by the Queen’s couturier Stewart Parvin. According to The Daily Mail:

“The full gown was created in ivory duchess silk and softly ribbed faille, the skirt given volume with acres of stiff lace beneath. The corseted bodice of the gown ending in dramatic pleats on its dropped waist and sculpted the bride’s slim figure, giving a dramatic bell-shaped silhouette. The dress was crafted in faille, a softly ribbed silk. The chevron-pleated bodice ended in dramatic pleats on its dropped waist. Silk tulle straps formed a V-shape at the back of the gown, with bias-cut raw-edged ribbons in silk faille and duchesse satin decorating the neckline and empire seam below the bust and finishing the hem of the dress. The full skirt featured concealed pockets. In her feet were the number one choice of shoe for so many brides: ivory Jimmy Choos.  Her white bouquet of elegant calla lilies was designed by London florist Paul Thomas.  Zara is said to have chosen the Stewart Parvin gown from wedding boutique White Room in Minchinhampton.”

Like Kate, Zara also wore a georgous tiara.  The Meander Tiara was on loan to her from her Mother Princess Anne.  The tiara was originally a gift from Queen Elizabeth II in the 1970s.

The couple exchanged vows in a 45 minute ceremony at Canongate Kirk in Edinburgh and then proceed to the Palace of Holyroodhouse (the monarch’s official Scottish home) for the reception.
